Who is this workshop meant for?

This workshop is meant for anyone who wishes to learn effective job interview strategies and engage in supported practice for a job interview.

Where will the workshop be held?

When registering, you have the option of choosing online or in-person instruction.

We highly recommend you choose the in-person option. Why?

  • Students enrolled in workshops that require specialized hardware or software will have those provided.
  • Our four-person maximum per session permits social distancing.
  • Interacting with classmates prompts creativity.
  • In-person engagement with the instructor facilitates understanding.

If you choose the in-person option when registering, the workshop will be held at the Blue Bay Tower in Business Bay, Dubai: Office 07, Floor 15, Blue Bay Business Center

  • Blue Bay Tower is a 5-minute drive or 20-minute walk from the Business Bay Metro Station. Paid parking is available in the building parking lot (visitor’s section). A public parking lot is situated next to the building as well.

Please note: if you choose the online option, you will need to insure:

  • Your computer or laptop has the necessary specifications and software installed (check the FAQs for each workshop)
  • Your internet connection is stable.

If you choose the online option, you will be emailed instructions for accessing the online instructional platform.

Should COVID 19 restrictions grow stricter in the future, we are prepared to use online-only platforms for training and will notify registrants for in-person workshops through email prior to the commencement of any such training.

Will I need to bring my own computer?

Students attending in-person workshops should bring their own laptops with Microsoft Office installed. Also, if you like to brainstorm using paper and pen / pencil, bring those along.

However, if you are unable to bring a laptop, please let us know in advance. Use our “Contact Us” form and choose “Training Inquiry” in the dropdown subject menu and provide your request for use of a computer along with your name and the session you have registered for. We will arrange a computer for your in-class work. You can then email your drafts and notes to yourself.

When and how do I pay?

Fees must be paid in full during the registration process.

Students can pay the fee via online credit card payment or bank transfer.

If you choose to pay through bank transfer, you will be sent an email containing an invoice with bank account details. Instructions will be provided in the email.

How can I best prepare for the workshop?

This workshop will be most effective if you come prepared with the following:

  • a list of the position requirements in terms of prior education and experience
  • the position description and the position’s role in the organization
  • information on the goals and culture of the employer or organization – their product or services, their representation on their website or on social media in terms of their values, and their status in their industry
  • your CV and, if available, a cover letter

This information will be valuable in evaluating employer requirements and generating relevant information for the interview.

Will there be homework?

No, but the instructor will provide helpful take-home material based on workshop content. Consulting these materials before future job interviews will guide and support your preparation.
